I believe the world is slowly consuming and destroying one another. The Canadian military is in shambles. Canada is a sitting duck just waiting to be overthrown by another country. How can we defend ourselves when we give away out military equipment and we have no service personnel to protect us. A lot of European countries have Conscription for self protection. After another’s 18th birthday they are required to 2 years service in the Canadian military. This would serve as a motivator to get our lazy ass children out of our basements, off their bloody phones and video games and teach them about discipline, exercise, team work, pride and more. At the same time Canada builds a stronger military through the own citizens. Perhaps some of the individuals love the experience to want to continue on in the service. I’m afraid the threat of possible war is increasing across Europe and what would stop Russia or China to turn on Canada next. We can not depend on the USA to come to our rescue. I know in the beginning families will worry that if there happens to be conflict in the world that Canada is required to defend because we are a part of NATO, Mother’s will weep for their children being involved. But that is the cost of freedom. Do you agree or not?
